Your runway.
One race result, one goal, one date. This is the calculation the Why Not app runs the day it builds your plan, before a single mile is prescribed.
Most plans answer one question: what do I run this week? The runway answers the one underneath it: is the goal reachable from here by then? The app scores your fitness from a race you already ran, scores the goal the same way, and compares the climb between them to the climb a plan of that length targets.
Nothing here is a promise. Every number is conditional on the training happening, which is exactly how the app labels it too. And nothing here tells you to pick a different race. If the goal is a big climb, it says so and shows you the roads.
Every number on this page is conditional on the training happening. The app labels its numbers the same way and never tells a runner what they will run.
