The HYROX burpee broad jumps.
Station four: no load, no machine, just the floor, for 80 metres.
What it is.
A burpee, chest to the floor, then a jump forward with both feet, landing to start the next one, for 80 m. No load and no equipment: the one station that needs nothing but a floor, so the app never swaps it out.
How to train it.
- In the circuits. 40 m in the rounds of the Ski, Jump, Carry Circuit, the Race-Weight Push Circuit and the Peak Pull Circuit; the Race-Weight Jump Circuit finishes on 3 × 40 m.
- On running legs. Brick · Jumps: 5 × (1 km at your race leg pace, then 40 m of burpee broad jumps).
- In race order. The front half sim and the full sim, at the race’s 80 m.
It never swaps.
Burpee broad jumps need nothing but a floor, and a floor is not something your gym can lack, so the app never swaps this station and it never appears on your swaps card.
How Why Not trains it.
The app’s Hybrid Race plan is a running plan with the stations built in. Every session prints the meters, and the erg sessions climb toward the race’s full distance in the simulations.
Every brick and simulation you log records your burpee broad jumps time on the station board, and the board keeps your best. A station more than a tenth and more than 45 seconds behind its target is your slowest station, and your next two gym sessions end with extra work on it. The target itself comes from your goal finish: at a Sub 1:30 goal it is 4:43, an estimate from published results until your own time replaces it.

The running half, and this.
A training plan for your HYROX race from a running coach: the 1 km repeats, the bricks, the circuits and the lifting, every load your division’s, on iPhone and Apple Watch.
